Default Former Resident

Hi there, does anyone have experience with this visa sub-class? My question is, are you classed as a permanentresident from the day you arrive in Australia, or is there a waiting time. The reason I ask is that the job I am going for requires me to be a PR. Can't find any info about this on the immi website! Thanks.

Need a bit more info really.

Like which visa have you got, where you are living now and if not in Oz, how long do you have left on your visa validity.

Former Resident is a permanent visa.

However, depending on your skills there may be alternative permanent visa options too. Better to ask immigration questions on the immigration forums, more chance of a reply there.

Hi Tony my husband was granted his former resident visa last month. We all have permanent residency as a family.

He's making sure this time he gets citizenship!!
