Footscray city college - Balwyn highs - vic high schools
Anyone have any info/experience/opinions on this school. FCC
Dept of Ed Victoria told me it does spanish, however now found out its only by DE.
However the school was far more helpful than any I spoke to down there.
Balwyn High also very helpful, due to sons high grades, would let son do 11 and 12 as he will already have done 10 in qld. But a just 15 year old in grade 11??? opinions.
Anyone else have a kid doing their second language by DE at VCE level.
Oh and if you have kids dont try to change state with them at this level, its a freaking nighmare of epic proportions.

Area/school v popular with Asian community.
DD was 15 when she started in Year 11 and she wasnt the only one. Certainly hasnt held her back.
I know there are several students at both DD's and DS's schools (both select entry) which study languages externally for VCE. Schools actively promote so I take that as a sign it is not disadvantageous to the student.

Don't know anything about Footscray College but Balwyn High v gd school. Strict catchment area and houses therein v pricey - would think above $1m entry point.
