Default Football in Sydney?

I'm heading back to Sydney next year. I've been playing footy here in Bangkok and i'm keen to keep playing at an amatuer(sp) level when i move back to Sydney. So does anyone know if there is a league or even pub teams would be cool? Failing that then regular 5 or 7 aside.

Its midnight here mate, do yourself a favour & post again during daylight (here) & call the thread "soccer".............."football" & "league" will cause your thread to be ignored.

You shouldn't have a problem finding a team

I wouldn't have passed it over Soapy. When I saw the title of the thread, I thought, (and hoped) it was a thread about Aussie Rules Football.

Jockstar, I must admit though, Soapy & Gogdownunder are right. Most people on here will think your thread is about Aussie Rules.
As has also been said, you'll find plenty of Association Football teams in Sydney.
Just do a Google search & you'll be able to take your pick.

I'm a mere pommie female and i thought you were on about aussie rules. I have been working hard on my 12 year old goalie to get used to calling it soccer.

All 3 codes argue over naming rights here. AFL is not anywhere near as big as down in Vic, SA and WA.

As for the OP there are tonnes of leagues and competitions around. Football is the most popular participation team sport in Australia. When you get here you will be sure to find a competition to your liking.
