Default Flys on Sunshine Coast

I noticed there are not many fly's on the Sunshine coast compared to when I visited Sydney. Are they seasonal?

A local I was speaking to says that they increase and reach maximum come end of January.. but apparently it depends where you are..

Sunshine coast really does not have the fly problem that is a curse:curse: in much of Australia. The sort of fly that gets up your nose, follows you, covers your shirt back drives me nuts, and luckily we dont get them here

Yes a major problem when you have a Veiled Lady Mushroom (Dictyophora Indusiata) in your yard. Had three of these over the last week and they only last less then 12 hours.

The VLM might drag in say 5 flies.

Otherwise you hardly see a fly all year round.

The vivid lime green flower beetles at the moment are most attractive.
