Well - I am a nervous flyer but am on planes almost every week. The key is to understand that the fear is irrational, over three million people fly every day without incident. Pesonally I hate landing most of all - so I just concentrate on being relaxed, close my eyes, don't look out of the windows and focus on keeping my fists unclenched. Turbulence is mostly harmless and generally the cabin staff will not need to sit down - if they don't then it can't be that bad can it!
