Default Fly Fishing in Melbourne?

Hi All Fishermen

My husband would like to know is there any fly fishing fishing over there and if so what type of fish is it brown or rainbow?

Can he bring his fishing tackle over with him or is it cheaper to bye new out there at the moment he uses Orvis with a CFO reel and thousands of flies.

Thanks
Vanessa

There is a lot of flyfishing in Victoria and a lot of stocked trout waters....many of them private but sell tickets.

Also some stocked rivers. Not sure how close to Melbourne though.

there is also a lot of general freshwater fishing....lots of carp and native fish

Look here:

There is a flyfishing forum on there.
