Default Flights - seating and pricing

Just been checking out flights and some of the pricing is different by about £4
It is saying seating K or Seating S. Am i right thinking the area near the toilets will be £4 cheaper?
Whenever we have arrived to check-in we are just allocated seats...
This was in 2006. Anything i need to know that has changed since?

You don't specify which airline, but those letters refer to the booking fare basis despite the fact they are in the same cabin type.

An airline allocates so many seats per fare type. Both S and K are discounted economy fares and will have slightly different ticket limitations on them sometimes. The full fare economy ticket is a fare type Y which will be slightly more expensive but offer more flexibility etc.

Ultimately it doesnt matter to you as the customer what code it is, providing that the ticket restrictions are ok with you. You can choose any seat in the cabin as normal using online check in or if your airline allows, at time of booking.
