flights Qantas
Is Quantas air lines any good as we will be flying with them soon

Re: flights Qantas
They're fine.
Enjoy your flight. Its a long one and the jet-lag can make you feel rough for a few days, but its all upwards after that. I have flown with a significant number of airlines, and they all have their pluses and minuses. Personally, I like Virgin, but they don't always have the route I want. It's QANTAS :)
Take your own entertainment in case the on-board one fails. |
Re: flights Qantas
I've always found them to be just fine. Join the frequent flyer program before you leave though, you never know when a free flight might come in handy.

I've found Qantas to be great, although as mentioned sometimes the entertainment system screws up a bit. Usually the on demand bit can fail at times but you'd still have full tv, you just have to watch whatever is on. However, the last time we flew was just fine and the time before had a few restarts but other than that it hasn't been to bad. I'd still bring an mp3 player or some books to keep you occupied just in case. |

... I should add that if you join the frequent flyers program in Australia you have to pay about $80 per person. ....

About Quantas, we flew them too when we came here in Dec 2008... Have to say I can't fault them at all...Have taken them once before when I came here on my own on a reccie...On both occasions, the staff were excellent... It can be a bit tiresome (almost 22 hours of flight!)... A good book is always handy though.. "War and Peace" could just about last the journey, if you start at intro... |

Re: flights Qantas
Flew with Emirates to Oz the first time, didnt like the plane at all, choice of food and entertainment was crap.
Qantas were way better, and you have the proper choice of Aussie beer on the plane to get you in the mood. Looking forward to those James Squire Golden Ale's next month, probably go with Qantas again. |
