Just noticed the price for flights in late December with Emirates, hope none of you are planning to come then, and are yet to book. They want £11.904.80 per couple for a return flight, that's extraordinary.

Where did you see those prices. I just had a quick look on Emirates web site, for flights 3 days before xmas, from London to Perth, bearing in mind its the most expensive time of year to travel, and it came up with flights at GBP 2855 for 2 persons. (GBP 1427 per person).

We've just booked with Emirates over Easter next year Brisbane to Gatwick return for $2,400 per person, which we thought was quite reasonable especially over the Easter period.

I've just booked an Emirates flight from UK - Perth the week before Christmas and it was £1400. Maybe the price you saw was for Business or First Class??

I phoned Emirates direct and for Perth to UK 21st December was 1,070 pounds for return. doesnt sound right to me

That doesn't sound much, although it will depend which date you return on.
