Well I've just booked our flights
Flying out on 18 Jan into Langkawi and out of Kuala Lumpur - one month in Malaysia/Singapore - then into Melbourne (just before our validation date!!).
Anyone else flying out to Melbourne in January?

I wish, we are still waiting on the visa. I was hoping to be in Melbourne by the end of Jan but have just recently got a case officer. Where about in Melbourne are you going?

Things have moved on a pace here so I was offered a job today, I finish work in the UK on the 24th December and start work on the 2nd January!!!

Not yet, but hopeful.

If not, we will be leaving it empty to sell next year. We were going to wait but have decided to do it as we will be renting for the first few months anyway and so we may as well leave the house here and then transfrer the money when we need it.

Yes, we have sold the house (long way to go of course!). Every time I get a message from the estate agents I think they've pulled out So fingers crossed........

Yes, leaving UK End of Dec & arriving in Melb early Feb (having a bit of a break before arrival in Oz) We're heading for the SE burbs.

Hi not sure where in Melbourne yet - we'll probably rent a campsite cabin (like Fraser) for the first couple of weeks whilst we find a rental. We do want to buy fairly quickly, but will need to take a good look at certain areas and will also depend on where my husband finds work.

Hi, yes we too are leaving in Jan, one way tickets have been booked, heading for the S.E region, not sure where exactly yet.

We are going to look for the TAFE colleges/Unis for our daughter to enrol...
she's not quite sure what she wants to do ......so should be fun
