We found expedia.com the cheapest and booked oneway flights with singapore through them, it was even cheaper than booking direct with singapore airlines and you dont need to prove that you have a visa, they made no mention of it.

Hi Walla

We to are looking at going via the USA.

Have been getting quotes for LHR-SFO-LSA-BNE.
Having 3 nights in San Fran and 3 in Vegas.

The quotes have been coming back around £550 + tax (per person).
That will be mainly with BA/ QANTAS but you could also use Air NZ or United.

That was with local agents in the Nottingham area also tried Travelbag who were not as competitive.

That was with Trent Bridge Travel in Nottingham if you are close by.
