Flight info

Just wondered when anyone could advise the best time to travel to Australia (Perth and Brisbane areas) both for the weather (we like it hot!) and cheap flights.

Weather-wise, the next couple of months are 'mid-summer' and the hottest parts of the year - they are also the wettest in Brisbane because of it's sub-tropical situation. See Brisbane averages and Perth averages. Not sure about when the cheapest flights are.

We might have been lucky but we got cheap flights in March a couple of years ago and the weather was 30 degrees with no rain for 3 weeks from March 14th! This was Brisbane. Found September in Perth reasonably priced but despite lots of sun - very cold wind and were frozen and unable to buy jumpers as it was spring.

Just stay away from the UK holiday periods and you might get a good deal on a flight.

Last year there were seat sales on from Boxing Day to New Years day and we bought 5 return flights (ex:- UK) to use in 2006. The child fare was £463 and the adult fares around £570 including all the taxes. That was booked through Trailfinders and was flying Emirates Birmingham to Perth.
This year all the flights are around £600 (that I can find) and ther are no seat sales on. :-(

Neil.
