If anyone is looking to rent in Melbourne, here's a great two bedroom flat in Ivanhoe and reasonably priced. We have been living here since we first landed in Australia 8 months ago, and are now moving as we have bought our own place. We have been very happy here and highly recommend it. as we are also in Ivanhoe - been here since January. Would like to confirm that its a great place to live and schools are really good! Quite pricey to buy in the area though, have you bought in Ivanhoe or elsewhere?Ruth

It's great, isn't it?
I wish we could stay in the area, too pricey for us to buy, tho. We're moving to Macleod, not too far from here, but also very pretty and leafy as well as less expensive. Also the same distance to Northlands , as well as Greensborough shopping centre, which is a bit nicer and bigger.
What a fab day in Ivanhoe, so sunny and bright! Must take bubbs for a walk Some winter, eh!
How are you finding Australia so far? We are so pleased with our choice of city, couldn't be happier!

Yes we are very pleased with our move! We love Melbourne (and surrounds) and have been out most weekends. This weekend we went to Brisbane Ranges and You Yangs Regional park. The kids loved climbing on the rocks (they are 6 and 3) and we spotted 2 koalas!!
Macloed looks nice also. When we eventually buy we may also have to move by a suburb or 2. Would like to keep our daughter in the same school if poss.
