We are making the big move to Perth on Sunday (arriving Monday). We are going to stay in a holiday rental in Rockingham for two weeks while we look for somewhere to live permanently. When we arrive we will have no jobs, know nobody and have limited funds (as our house sale is dragging on) but we are coming anyway.

We still cant decide where to live north or south, we did north Perth in March and loved it but never ventured down south.

We stopped travelling when our money ran out and had just enough to cover the rent for a few months. Things work out. Especially as you have the balls to get over here and still have things to sort out.

We got a place within 3 days and I had a job within a week. Flat is fab, job was crap and have since changed. Nothing needs to be permanent whilst you are getting started.

Top tip, post on here telling people what kind of suburb you are looking for and the amount of rent you are willing to pay, try and give as much detail as possible. That should narrow down your search a bit.

Good luck Dexter. We were in your shoes 6 months ago...moving to Perth, no jobs, no mates, house sale fallen through. Apart from the house which was supposed to complete tomorrow and now isn't it's all been worth it and everything else will fall into place. We've ended up in the northern 'burbs. Good luck with it all. The next few days will be mad :scared:!!
