Default Fishing gear to NZ

Hi All

Just wondering what the requirements are for taking fishing gear to NZ. If anyone has experience of this I would like to know.

Thanks
Amanda

Not sure if its the same....but for oz its pretty easy.

They are not keen on any kind of netting, and generally will only allow it in if its new and in sealed packaging.

Rods reels and the rest of it are all fine, but the all MUST be spanking clean. Any dirt and they will insist on having the whole lot either sent back or cleaned professionally.

The tackle itself is fine....again, just make sure its all clean, and it also gives a good impression if its all packed away nice and tidy.

Another thing....don't be too concerned if you decide to leave any of it behind. You will be GOBSMACKED at how cheap fishing gear is out there.
