My hubby used fish back in the grey country
A keen carp angler, is there any where up near butler area he can go fish, could he fish the sea straight off the beach or does he need to use a designated area? What license is required and where would he obtain it please?

Info on fishing licences for WA, but there does not appear to be one for fishing from the beach. Some species need licences for fishing, and there are also requirements to meet on the size of various species. Probably best to make a couple of calls, or drop into the nearest fishing tackle shop to ask them about it.

piperddeni,is the place to go up by you,,,your ol fellas gonna suffer here if hes used to pulling big fish in...
your gonna need a boat else your not going to get near anything of size...unless you travel up north....your ol man will be pulling his hair out after a few sessions trying to get past frickin blowies...
it aint like fishing up barr beacon here..or all those great fisheries from where you just left...
im sure you dont need a liecence to fish off the beach,just if your in a boat...

Good advice thanks, hes off to tackle shop in ocean keys later to ask the locals, yeah he used to go off at 4am most weekends to bewdley fishing somewhere, not the river seven, some lakes down there?

Gorgeous george (14) went on a 3 week fishing trip up north with friends after christmas... Fished from boat and beach and has the pictures to proove there are some FABULOUS fish to be caught off of both.....
Ut it takes being a fishing widow to an entirely new level.... How often in the uk do blokes go on a three WEEK trip?

There isn't much fishing to be had off the beaches in Perth I've found; had a good day off the beach at Moore River once though. You really have to travel north past perth or way south to make it worth the trip.
Fishing here is very different from uk; no more sitting huddled in the pissing rain next to a lake somewhere !
In the eventual future a small boat is my next step so myself and a few friends can wander off to fish [or else sit in it drinking beer while it's parked in the driveway].

Our local council run a scheme that pairs up local knowledgeable retiree fishermen with kids who are keen to learn... They take the kids to the "best" local fishing spots ...
Not much use to your hubby tho...
