You obviously never tasted the fab fish and chips in our local chippy in Cornwall, really big flakes of glorious white COD - yummy not like the tough rubbery stuff we get in our local in Cairns! Perhaps we are living in the WRONG state

Oh hevs - at last - someone who agrees with me! Was beginning to think I was the only one on here who had ever had 'DECENT' fish, chips and peas I used to go there after work on a Saturday evening, and walk home eating them out of a paper bag, with the batter sticking to it - my mouth is watering now too!!!! Vinegar - yes, course, they dont have that in the fish shops here - forgot that as given up trying to find a decent one!
Thks for that m8

Re: Fish
I really like swordfish steaks. I also buy flathead, tuna, trevally, lots of different snappers, mullet, orange roughy, mahi mahi, and even farmed salmon. Much more choice here, better quality and better value. I agree about the prawns, though, and they can be almost tasteless.

White vinegar
White vinegar can be made by oxidating a distilled alcohol. Alternatively, it may be nothing more than a solution of acetic acid in water.
