First post and first question

Have been lurking for a while but posting for first time so here's a potted biography:

Young fortysomethings with four girls and living in London. Have long considered moving to NZ for many reasons - climate, improved quality of life, more space for our money, better environment for our kids and so on. Our glasses are only slightly rose-tinted because we've close Kiwi friends who have been straight with us and I have been researching on web and lurking for 18 months, doing our homework. We are open, friendly community- minded folk who like the outdoors (wife and kids love the sun) with friends from Taranaki (New Plymouth) and Taupo, so we have been concentrating our sights on North Island.

Although I am a seasoned telco operations manager with regional and international experience with a global multinational, the lack of a degree or formal management qualification means that I need a solid job offer to reach the EOI threshold (a visit to NZ would improve this further). With this in mind, we spent the weekend at an NZ emigration expo in London and gathered a lot more information and contacts. Of all these, three were very positive and I am pursuing these first. Two leads are with folks in certain regional development teams (Dunedin - yes, I know it's Sth Island :) and Priority One for Tauranga/Bay Of Plenty).

My question regards the third solid contact we made, with a partner of a recruitment consultant in Wellington called SearchWorks Ltd (http://www.searchworks.co.nz/). Does anyone on the forum have knowledge or experience with dealing with SearchWorks? Although they offered me nothing solid there and then at the expo, they were very positive, spending a good while asking about my skills and experience and asking me to provide more career info and supporting materials (they have a hard copy of my CV from the expo). I was impressed - especially as the partner knows the telco market/industry and am sure they are legit but it never harms to ask....does it?

Many thanks

Mrs BNUG is more correctly known as SWMBO - she who must be obeyed - and is the font of all wisdom and spring of all joy :D

P.S. I just noticed 'Hertfordshire' in your profile - the county of my birth and formative years - not been back much since, except for the excellent ale in a number of select taverns around and about old Hertford Town.
