First Initial date
Dear Friends,
I received the AUS PR grant letter recently and have planned to validate my PR visa at Sydney in couple of months time.
Btw, Currently I am working in the US on L1 (intra company transferee) visa.
Please let me know should I need to get ny sort of visa label or sticker on my passport from the near by Australian Consulate, USA before I head to Sydney, Australia.
Kindly share your thoughts.
Thanks,

Your visa number is logged electronically so no you don't need it stamped in your passport to get into the country. However, some airline staff are not totally on the ball about the electronic age so if you don't get the sticker done, take your grant letter with you.
Another however...... some Government agencies - Medicare for example, are even more electronically challenged and if your sticker is not in your passport some of their staff decide you're not actually here nor entitled to Medicare. You can get the sticker put in when you get here.
To save yourself any possible aggro, I'd get the sticker, but many don't bother.
