Default First impressions???

I probably should have posted this one a few days ago, but I've finally got round to it now - then off to bed to get some sorely needed beauty sleep before meeting the Bloke at Heathrow tomorrow!! Hooray! Long time since March!

So, to keep you all entertained, lets have some suggestions - its his first trip out of Australia, QLD born and bred; we are going all over the south of the UK and as far north as family commitments will allow.....so what do people reckon his first impressions will be??

Then we'll do a sort of reverse-post I suppose - the forum gets people going to Oz and saying what they think is different once they get there, so lets do it the other way round. He has to tell me what he thinks I will find strange/different in Oz, and either him or me will post it on here. However, unlike a lot of troll-like creatures that lurk in these corridors, we will be posting a really honest viewpoint........just don't expect toooo much in the first few days!

Good one MM! I'm expecting that - especially as he has to downgrade from a Ford Falcon to an 1.3 Escort....!

1. Why are so many people so rude and unfriendly?
2. What can possibly be so urgent/ compelling that you forget about the beauties of life?
3. God, the drivers are rude and unfriendly.
4. Hmm, I don't mind about the UK weather but I DO mind about the pollution and dirt everywhere.
5. Shit - even the shop girls and kids in the street are rude and unfriendly.

I think he will say "I would never bring my kids up in this country. It is a shit-hole." I also think that he would, however, work there for a few years to make enough money to start buying a place in Oz and then leave and tell everyone in Oz who will listen what a shit-hole the UK is without wondering whether it might be a better place if people stopped using it like a cashpoint and a toilet.
