first aid certificate
hi
I am a childminder, does anyone know whether i would have to do another first aid course once i move to Oz or will my English one for 'working with children' be ok. |

You can register with the local council and they offer courses and get you linked up with other childminders so you can do things together. Good luck |

UK first aid will suffice when you arrive.
In Victoria, you have to do first aid every 3 years (2 days), CPR training annually, and anawhatsit training (evening, tonight actually) for peanuts every year. On the first aid you get taught how to use the portable defibs - 'stand clear, shocking', bang!! Apparently they have them everywhere here. Wife is NNEB who is recognised as a qualified childcare worker here, hence, my knowledge. Ian |
