Fire safety guards

Does anyone know where i can find a safety guard for our wood fire, we are in Perth. Had hoped to find something like the one's you can get from argos and mothercare in the uk, if only we had brought it with us, but the only ones we have found are more like a screen and cost a fortune.

Many thanks

Elaine

What are you talking about? What's a fire safety guard? A person that guards the fire?

The kind of thing you need if you have a kid and a fire. Common sense stuff really.

In the UK they're called fire guard. Maybe the OP added the safety bit to make it clear that she wasn't talking about a person. Obviously you can't make it clear for all the people all the time. ;)

In Bunnings today thet were selling fire screens (guards to you and me). They were deluxe stainless steel reduced from 25 to 19dollars(roughly).They looked fairly sturdy and looked like they couldnt be knocked over too easily.
