Same here! In the last year in the UK we've been ripped off more times than I care to
count, in quite big ways (eg paying up front for a house rental that was then sublet,
not being paid for work done... all considerable sums) and whilst money isn't
everything, being used like that leaves a nasty feeling. There aren't many places
left to go to get away from people, and find some peace and quiet.
So, I'll eat my waxed hat if we don't think NZ is wonderful.
