My neighbour is the same, she waters all day sometimes. They just sold their house and the lawn is perfect, it's like a bloomin cricket turf. Mine is full of barley and gets on her nerves 
BTW There are water restrictions here in Perth - twice weekly on your rosta day, before 9am and after 6pm, 20 mins each station. There are fines if they spot ya watering at other times.
