Thanks for that. I'm really hoping to find some info on the performance of the schools in order to find the best school for my kids.

you need find out the OP scores ( overall performance )
Aus schools didnt have to post their OP scores in the past
that has changed this year

try doing a search on OP scores for melbourne via the gov education dept

also try

Hiya Steve
Hows the hunt for schools going? I eventually printed out maps of every district in queensland, and am working my way through every school website there is lol..I like the look of Wynnum SHS and NorthLakes though, emailed NL but they are currently writing the new curriculum which won't be ready until later this year.
All the best

Hi,

I am from Melbourne and an education counsellor :)

Three types, state schools, public schools (private) and catholic schools (private).

Much depends upon ages, whether you want to pay fees and where you live plan to live, transport access etc?

Let us know and can help. cheers Andrew

You'll find three years worth of Victorian VEC/VET performance results for private and state schools here : http://www.exfin.com/education-whichprivate.php They don't tell the whole story, in terms of whether the schools would be a good "fit" for your child, but they are a starting point and "objective" information is hard to come by!
