Default Finding a good public school in south west of perth

I have just moved to Perth. Currently looking for place to settle down. One of the concern is a school for my children. I know Shenton College and Willeton is good public school but we won't be able to afford a house in those area. We are thinking to live in White Gum Valley, Beaconsfield or Hilton area or somewhere around. My kids are 6 and 2. I'm needing advises about good public school in these area, can any one help me?

Are you talking about renting or buying a home? If you can afford to live in White Gum Valley or Beaconsfield, I would have thought you can afford to live in the Willetton catchment. Shenton College and Willetton SHS are high schools, though, and your kids are very young. There all also suburbs in the Melville local government area that are worth looking into. Also worth looking in Bull Creek and Leeming areas, as the schools there have good reputations.

We are looking to rent to start with, and buy next. But as we are brand new first time buyer we can only afford so much. We need to start the area where the price is still lower and gradually move up the ladder. We will go and see Melville, Bull Creek and Leeming. Thanks for your advice!
