Default Financial Services in Australia

Hi,

I migrated to Australia from Europe 3 years ago. When I arrived, I knew nothing about the Australian tax system, superannuation, gearing, etc.

I have since studied financial planning, and also work in the industry, where we deal with a lot of migrants.

I was wondering why there aren't any more questions on this forum in relation to the financial system/investments/strategies in Australia, as having this knowledge or knowing where to get it could give many migrants a head start.

Possibly because a forum as wide-ranging as this isn't able to go into the complexities of each indidvidual case. On the occasions when questions about investments are asked, those in the know (Alan Collett of Go Matilda springs to mind) will advise personal financial advice is better than general forum opinions.
