Default finance market in australia??

Hi Guys!
Just wanted to know what you'll felt about the job market for financial positions these days. Also in the U.S. CMA and CPA considered in Australia. Thanks.

From what I've heard it's not as bad as the IT market, but not great either. Depends
on where you go - for example, in Melbourne it would be better to have experience
from manufacturing industry, in Sydney perhaps more jobs look for (finance)
experience in service industries. If your background is in primary industry, Perth is
probably the place to go.

US CPA is recognised in Australia. Not sure about CMA - it's not recognised to the
same extent as CPA. However, as there's generally no need to be a member of an
Australian professional body to work in finance in Australia, if you can persuade
an Australian employer to accept CMA then you won't have problems. Maybe ask the
CMA head office people themselves what they know about recognition overseas,
Australia included.
