Could anyone point me the direction of a financial advisor to help with moving funds from one country ie UK to Oz any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hey

I'm not moving till later in the year but we are just planning on moving our £ through HSBC, I phoned them up, spoke to some lady there who told me they only charage £10 per transaction for moving £ from anywhere to anywhere. Havent checked it out properly, maybe too good too be true but you never know! Maybe they mean if you have an HSCB account in Oz and UK?

Alan Collet at Go Matilda, he is very a member of uk and australian financial institues.

If its just moving funds / ie cash then use HiFX or Ozforex. For more complicated things like pensions then i suggest Alan Collette (look in google)

You can probably transfer the funds to any account you want - you should be able to any way. Have you compared their rates to someone like ozforex?
Generally speaking the high street banks do not have the best rates.

Seconded... OZForex or their UK counterpart UKForex won't charge you any 'transfer fee' it'll be included in the rate they give you which I'm quite sure will be better than any high street bank...
