Finaly booked our flights last night online through expedia.co.uk with Cathy Pacific it worked out cheeper through expidia than direct with cathy for some reason.
Its getting realy real now and everyone is getting very excited hopfuly just car hire to sort out now, anyone got any info on hiring a car in Aus please post.

Hi great news about the flights. We hired a Toyota Camry from Hertz. Worked out about £400 for 21 days hire. Were really good and when we needed to extend hire that was ok.

We fly on the 26 of October from heathrow. We are having a couple of days before, in London to spend them last few english pounds.

We booked our flights yesterday for the 20th October flying with Singapore from Heathrow. Sorted out our accommodation for Brisbane and the gold coast as well (credit cards taken a battering ). So at the moment were in the car hire process as well.

yeah, we also booked ours yesterday for 20th sept with emirates from manchester, so excited now, it all suddenly seems very real....have a great trip everyone x loidy
