Hi,
Just had an acceptable offer on the house (at last), can hardly believe it, it all seems so real now.

Looking foward to Aug2004

its been on since November but we had no viewings until the new year and since then we have had lots. We are well pleased and are off to Sydney later in the year, although we are visiting in 2 weeks.

Are you going to rent then in the mean time?? Or just complete on the house when you're ready to leave for good?

Hi Cath,

Well done!

It certainly does hit you when it happens. Try to keep the euphoria in control until you exchange contracts. It's 4 months since we accepted an offer and the earliest we can exchange is next Friday but that's still to be confirmed. It's like living in suspended animation - a good job you have your trip planned for next month.

Congratulations!

This is one of the things we are most dreading - selling our house, always hated it, no doubt will this time too!

The time factor will be crucial for us to, probably not very many people are lucky enough to get it spot on!

Renting so you can go ahead with the sale is a good way of finalising it - all you need do then is look forward to landing in Australia!!

Enjoy your visit.

sold our house yesterday , only been on the market a week and we got £3000 short of the asking price. Just need the exchange rate to get better and of we go to Perth.

That was quick, hope I can put this sort of message up when we put ours up for sale soon - that would be great

No worries about loads of viewers coming round feeling like you're under scrutiny - must be a great feeling selling it so quickly!
