Finally Got It !!!!!!!!
Well I am pleased to say that this morning received letter from our agent (George Lombard) confirming that our PR (class 136-painter and decorator) visa's have been granted - we cannot believe it has come at last !!! Over 2 years of waiting.
We applied in May 2001 to London and it took them 17 months (yes the good ole days of london processing !!!) to look at the application for us only to be told that we did not qualify.
We then employed George and submitted another application which was acknowledged on 24th Dec 2002 - we weren't expecting to hear anything for a year or so but got called for our medicals 3 weeks ago. Done and submitted straight away. Now just heard we'd got 'em - yipeeeeeeeeeeee - :-)_
So just a wait of 6 months this time, Adelaide certainly seems to have got their act together.
So to anyone who's had knock backs along the way, don't give up hope and keep going - we did and have finally made it.
We are off to Perth mid January 2004 - cannot wait but loads to do before then.
Fingers crossed to everyone who's still waiting - hang on in there

Congratulations!!!
You finally made it. But whats with the second submitted application? Was the first application not right or not properly made? Or you finally get the right person to do the job?
