Resurrecting this thread because we drove around Brookfield today and I can say WOW.

It has properties there that you would expect in the hollywood hills, yet they are only around 1-2 million dollars, peanuts considering what they would cost in Uk or California.

Different world there!!

Yep ..Its clean .One of my choc bar wrappers fell out of the van when we were parked up .I said ."oops keep Australia tidy" and picked it up.My mate commented how I wouldnt of done that at home and he was right .Why should I no other f***** did.Before annyone snaps back they did and most of their friends did I didnt live in a lovely little village or a leafy dale back home I lived in West London and yes its a REAL sh******

Oh gee where do I start?

6 months in -

Melbourne
- weather more liveable than Brisbane
- more accessible and nicer beaches than Brisbane
- beautiful city with great architecture, great vibe
- better work opportunities than Brisbane

could go on and on

Brisbane is a great place to go on holiday, Melbourne is a great place to live.

That picture of North lakes legoland is the worst depiction of an estate I have ever seen. All the roofs are exactly the same and the block sizes are a joke.[/QUOTE] i agree not nice at all but the rest were good

That is because the picture is of the retirement village !! Very strange choice of picture to represent North Lakes. I could post a picture of houses seen from the golf course and people would get an entirely different impression. Best to completely ignore the North Lakes picture in this thread.
