Interesting stats....where'd u get them?

I don't quite understand the death rate....whats that one about?

I also don't get the life expectancy, unless those are meant to be ages not percentages.

Cheers

Pete.

I don't think the "below poverty line" is correct. In cases where it is n/a or 0, it usually means the country does not do stats on that. I don't think anyone who has lived in Australia would say that poverty is basically non-existent.

Death rate is the number out of a 1000 that can expect to die in a twelve month period for whatever reason.

Let me put it a little easier for you.

For every 1000 babies born - this will be how many do not survive. THEY WILL DIE, stillbirths, premature, etc

you're too kind, thanks..

So for the death rate, does that mean that out of every 1000 people only 10 will die?

I should imagine it is over a 12 month period.
When you take your 10% off 55 million in this country (maybe more) its about right don't you think.

I'm fine Fatso thanks

No, that is the infant mortality rate. Death rate, is just a number of deaths for the entire population..

I stand corrected on that one. That was what I meant, but wrote it down wrong.
I think it was the whisky old boy that did it, as I am a girl.

Whats your problem Fatso, been bullied at School again?
No, never bullied at school. Still, I was never at school that much so perhaps I did not give it a fair chance.

You are coming to Oz or NZ?
