Not sure if they are nationwide, but they are common as sparrows in South Australia

The bird life here is amazing. i havent a clue what many of them are, but they brighten my day.

Rainbow Lorikeets are mainly eastern birds but are common in the north and a few in the south West. They are in South Australia but are rare in the south East

There are parrots of various species all over Australia.Galahs are found all over

I remember seeing flocks of the white parrots with the yellow crown feathers in north queensland they used to make me feel bloody lucky to be in such a beautiful place.

You mean the cockatoos. We have flocks of them too. I find them very amusing. Always having a bunfight up a tree somewhere.
