To get a FBI report from UK, what do I have to do? Where can I get the forms and get fingerprinted? Help from a kind sould would be appreciated

Presumably this is for immigration to NZ? Have you been to the New Zealand immigration web site yet? If not, go to:

http://www.immigration.govt.nz

Click on 'forms', then find and click on 'How to Obtain a Police Certificate' and look for section on USA. It gives instructions on how to get certificate from FBI if you're outside the USA. You may have to ring them (good idea too, I highly recommend it as they will tell you exactly what they need from you, and also it takes 4-5 weeks to process, so you don't want to get it wrong). Make sure you write a short letter to include with your fingerprints and your money order ($18 per person I think) stating that you need the FBI report to apply for immigration to New Zealand, and have everyone whose fingerprints you're including sign the letter.

I've seen postings on this forum about where in UK you can get fingerprinted - I think someone said they just went to their local police station. Just make sure that the card that you're fingerprinted on contains all the information the FBI requires.
