Fave Aussie Artist?

Ah the Stereophonics ... I knew them when they had a wierd looking drummer. I lost interest once Kelly Jones started getting a bit up himself and it all went overblown and pompous (in my view...), great gravelly voice though.
Gonna see The Wiggles in December, hoop-de-doo!

Will forgive the 'pompousness' because again some of their tracks are great shouty numbers and the whole family likes to join in, a la familie Von Trapp stylee but without the lederhosen and dirndl.
Hope the little one has the potty training cracked by December as too much excitement can lead to little accidents.....and I'm guessing you'll be able to control yourself?......but I could be wrong....

A Melbourne band called The Go Set - they're awesome.
They have a few videos on youtube but I can't access it at work to provide a link
I guess you'd call them Celtic punk - they have three great albums out so far, and are mad live, complete with crazy bagpipes player
Also a singer called Carus - very chilled out but tuneful with his acoustic guitar.
In fact tomorrow I'll be in heaven - Keeno (Go Set's lead singer) is doing an acoustic show supporting Carus in Barwon Heads (Vic) which will be fab.
Looking forward to a few

Re: Fave Aussie Artist?
I saw a video the other day of a group called the Cat Empire that I thought was really good, and also Shannon Knoll's 'Loud'.
does that make me very uncool?
I'm still learning about the aussie music scene!

They are still regarded by most as an Aussie band though
