The farewell party.....
What's the consensus ?.....
1) Everyone's invited, tell the world you're leaving...hoorah
2) Small family & close friends invited for some nosh and wine, re-live the good old days, shed some tears

3) By to the folks at the airport and that's it
4) Tell no one and sneek off Gretna Green styley...next time they see you is as an extra on Neighbours
We'll be No.1 then...

Definitely number 1 and then a quiet farewell at the airport with family and a couple of really, really close friends!! Have to have a big farewell party!!

I'm aiming for all of those.
Big party for everyone I can think of.
Glastonbury with bessie mates.
Spend as much of the last few weeks with family.

lol yeah, i've had em booking dates already!!
i know my parents and sis will miss me, but beyond that i couldn't care less. ....additional: with the exception of..... her in leather.

Hi there
We have a leaving do booked for the 3rd July.....50 people for a meal and then an additional 30 or so people for the party after with a band, plenty to drink, and no doubt, an awful lot of tears to be shed (by me).
No one is coming to the airport, I could not cope with that

Well, only people we are close to are our parents and one brother each. Don't have close friends, but a few/enough normal friends, and aquaintances and other family, so first, 4 days before takeoff:
1) Everyone's invited, tell the world you're leaving...hoorah
And then:
3) By to the folks(and brothers) at the airport and that's it
We're leaving from Dusseldorf(a 3(?) hour drive), so they will all be driving us there.
Hope it won't be toooo bad (though there will definetly be tears), because Pascal's parents are coming out in December already, and my parents and brother are seriously thinking of moving back too, and otherwise they'll come over next july or something.
