Has anyone applied to go to New Zealand through this method. Or does anyone know anything about it.

It's all on the NZ immigration website.

In summary:

250 applications per annum by people to sponsor close family (mainly parents).

You apply during April and the names get electronically drawn in May.

The sponsor must have been a PR for 3 years before applying.

The people being sponsored must meet health / character requirements.

The people being sponsored must not be eligible under any other category.

I think that about covers it...
