A family (IN PERTH) in mourning for a lost teddy desperately seeking help!
1 Attachment(s)
We’ve had the most amazing and incredible vacation in Australia over the course of the last seven weeks. It’s not our first time here but has been by far our most inspiring. From Tropical Queensland and the incredible coastal resort of Agnes Water we’ve driven and flown all the way down the east coast to Sydney and through Canberra, Melbourne and Adelaide to our final destination of Perth. We’ve seen sunrise and set – whilst on the east coast - gasped in awe at one thousand and one incredible vistas and spotted Australian icons of Roos, Koalas and an Emu or two in the wild. Add to that lizards, dolphins, wedge tail eagles, humpback and southern right whales our journey has been truly memorable.
However, since Tuesday of this week (24th Aug) we’ve been in mourning for a member of the extended family –a threadbare and well cuddled teddy bear. He’s been taken to bed with our eldest every night for the past twelve and a half years and now we can’t find him. :( We’re sure he was with us at Quest on Arlington in Perth (because he went t bed as usual) but haven’t seen him since and tears have most certainly flowed. We’ve checked the room (twice), phoned the laundry company, made posters and an ad ready to go in the West Australian on Saturday. This morning we even had two slots on radio with 6PR and ABC Perth but to no avail. Just to make matters worse we only have until 6:00 a.m. on Sunday before we have to leave for the UK! Here is our best recent snap of Pink Ted and anything you could do to raise wider awareness of our plight would be hugely appreciated. We have a mobile in Oz and would happily provide more information if that would help. Please help us in our search if you can because the thought of leaving Australia and wondering where Pink Ted could possibly be is a difficult prospect for all of us – and for the eldest especially. I really hope you find Pink Ted. Maybe he's decided to stay in Oz and not return to the UK??

I reckon he got bundled up with all the sheets and carted off to the laundry company - the same thing happened to us but we were lucky and the special toy was found the next day by the laundry staff.

{{{hugs}}} but you cant stop a pink bear wanting to go off adventuring can you? We had a Tigger who did the same thing in PNG but fortunately he got deported for being without a visa and came home to us - but that was a very tearful time. Hopefully your friendly bear will come home after his adventures and sooner rather than later!

Guys,
Thanks - we've called the laundry and even visited them leaving a poster and details. There's possibly hope he's somewhere in the Quest but who knows? Here's a link to the ABC story and interview for those of you interested. http://blogs.abc.net.au/wa/2009/08/lost-pink-ted.html Hopefully an early morning bump Perth time might help.
