Family allowance in U.K
Could anyone inform me how long you are allowed to collect family allowance for after leaving the U.K?
At what point does a long holiday become a permanent move?
Also at what point can you start claiming for this benefit in Oz? Do the 2 ever cross over?
Thank you

I think it's up to about 8/12 wks but they do specify that this is only whilst on holiday and not after emigrating. You can start claiming in Oz virtually straight away after you've filled in all the necessary paperwork at Centrelink.

LOL, its amazing how many people can understand and plough through enough forms to emigrate, but cant work out the answer to, "I am leaving the country can I still claim" Hum hum.
