Michaela, you had better ask at school, its not anything national that is to be celebrated that I know of (or state or even local for that matter! ) .

I know they have "days" for everything now, but I think Fairy Floss day is going just a tad far

Roughly translated for those who have not done years of OZ motherhood I'd say its a free dress day, where kids wear whatever they want or in this case a theme, usually the kids are then 'fined' a gold coin to raise funds for the school.

Fairy floss day, I guess is like cheesburger day, or hot dog day, send the kids with money, fundraiser for the school.

As I said its only a guess.

Thanks...I think. Feel a bit less inadequate now, though as I have no aspirations for my daughter in the line of gay dental care I may ignore it no moneys been requested and it was only mentioned today for tomorrow so I dont think she'll be the only child not in drag
