Anyone actually done this sucessfully??
Thinking of buying a bike to take with me. What I want appears to be expensive out there so I thought I'd buy one now and ship it.

Dont know anything about Bikes, but I do know for cars you have to have owned it for 12 months before you are allowed to import.

hi dazza,
i can't remember all the details, but there's been plenty on the subject in the past. Do a quick search and see what you can dig up.
From mammary, it was only a real option if you have something rare or non-existent in oz. Was thinking about taking my beemer with me, but it works out cheaper to buy new on arrival. (the prices are quite comparable to the uk in fact, which i was surprised about!! the only difference being you don't get much in the way on OTR costs included in the price in oz like you do in the UK.)
