Expats going to or already in Oz/Nz
 

Hi all
Just had a little flash of brain cells and thought of a idea.
If everybody inputs in to the timeline with a little extra of where they are when they reach there destination e.g. perth, brisbane etc. etc. etc. Then we can meet some of the people we have been talking to and have some mega barbies!!!!
I know a lot of expats don't have family/friends in there destination so I thought if you can have a 'virtual community' WHY NOT A REAL ONE!!!!

yea i'm in

twice a year we could meet in the centre of our respective states ,in one of those big parks with built in bbq allready there,
we could wear name tags with ie." britexpat forum rday"
bring some meat and beer

Good idea Col

It is always good share your experiences. We were fortunate to make friends with a
family that had moved here 5 years ago and they showed us the 'ropes'

Two years on in Adelaide and I am still having new experiences!

Fantastic idea. It would be good to have a bit of a support network with people who are experiencing the same things.

We too are off to Perth, Mandurah hopefully

Bonsa idea mate "look already talking the lingo" a couple of snags on the barbi would go down a treat. We would love to go live in Adelaide, we have distant family and friends there. BUT it would be great to finally meet some of you in the flesh !!! It's a date then. Maybe in a couple of years time then??? Regards Darren & Julie.

Yep we're up for it too! Arriving in Perth approx. 8 weeks time, hoping to settle in Mandurah.
