Expat mortgage
Apologies for bringing this again, I have been through few posts already but my situation is bit different, hence new post.
I am British national and recently moved to Australia (on PR visa) for good.
I have one mortgage free flat in London which is currently tenanted, getting £800/month as rent.
I am planning to release some equity (around 60%) from that flat, to facilitate one flat purchase for self living.
Flat address : Heigham Road, London, E6 2JH.
Lease left : 117 years , building was built in 1965 (Approx)
Service charges : GBP 1100 per Annum
Ground rent : GBP 10 per Annum
Value: GBP 160000 (I got valuation done before coming here)
Flat is on 3rd floor (total 8 floors in the building)
Ex-Council building with majority of private ownership
I got mortgage in Oct,2012 from Santander (mortgage paid off in Oct,2014)
I am employed full time (well known MNC with offices all over the world) in Sydney (Salary - $155950 which equates to GBP 78,000 ) and thoroughly employed except one month break ding London-Sydney transition.
Any pointer will be great help.
