Default Exchange Rates

Does anyone have any idea how well the pound is likely to perform against the Aussie Dollar?. It seems to be well down to what it`s been at the moment, We are hoping for a great increase in value. We are hopefully moving to Adelaide in October, should our meds be ok. This waiting is torture, We have someone on standby ready to buy our home,we are just preying for Visa`s, then we can calm down.

No one, not even the "experts" can predict future exchange rates. The only advice I can give you, having been there myself, is to try to ignore it. Easier said than done, but it`ll increase the stress of the move 10 fold if you constantly look at the exchange rates!!!

The only advice I can give, in a very amateur capacity, is that a) the £ is currently over-valued and the AUS $ is currently undervalued. Therefore, logic suggests that the rate will come down more before it rises. But, I am probably wrong....!!!

Thankyou Rosy. You are right, all I seem to be doing is stressing over the current exchange rate. I think i`ll try not to look so often, what will be will be..... Many thanks Richard & Lisa

I would tend to agree.....its started going down already, and thats a likely trend for the coming months.

Just be prepared that it might fall off a bit........
