Excess Baggage back to Oz

Hi

We have returned to the UK from AUS for a 3 week break.

The shops and sales have been too tempting and subsequently we now have excess baggage!

Does anyone know the cheapest and best option of shipping approx 10kg back to OZ. I do have the post office tarrif guide which is about £80.

Thanks for your help.

Thats probably your best bet for only 10kg. What I have done before is brought back the new stuff with me in my luggage, then send the older stuff (eg clothes you took over with you) back by surface mail - that way you have the stuff with you that you really don't want to lose if the mail takes ages or (god forbid) goes astray.
Also go through what you have, ditch all the half used shampoo etc, ditch any packaging, sometimes you can lose a lot of weight that way. Then if your airline limit is 20kg and you manage to get it down to 25kg, don't worry, you should be OK. :)

I'd fly Qantas anyday, always had fab service with them, whereas Emirates.....would rather swim than use them again.

There is a company in heathrow called excess baggage. They are very cheap - our stuff arrived 1 week later but we did have to go to the airport to collect it.
