everything in 20ft possible?
Wondering whether an average family (4) managed to squeeze all their earthly belongings in a 20 ft? Movers are coming in on Sat for an assessment - suddenly occurred to me that whether 20ft is realistically possible.:scared:

It does sort of depend on how much stuff you have, though :)
I pretty much filled a 20' refrigerated container (smaller inside, but also cheaper to use) with my stuff. I only had a small cottage (two bed, lounge, kitchen, bathroom and shed). The thing to look at is the number of big bulky objects that cannot either be flat packed or filled with other stuff. The biggest items of that kind that I had were a double mattress, a sofa and a sofabed. I did not bring washing machine or fridge/freezer, though if I had wanted to they would probably have squeezed them in too. Good luck, DagBoy |

Good luck, DagBoy DagBoy, Why refrigerated container, if I may ask - besides melting furniture?:D We do have quite a lot of stuff and I am trying to visualise a 20 ft container and see how we can fit it all in. A 40 ft is definitely too excessive. |

we are shipping everything from our 3 bed house including des's motorbike in a 20ft container
