to every one who recently got pr
could u tell me the time span between submiting your med/police check ,and the time you got your pr stamp

We submitted our medicals on 20th June and got our grant letter yesterday - 10th July - not bad! But we are going through the Employer Nomination Scheme. Have you been waiting long?

going as a indie plumber,maybe to melbourne.wife 2 kids 9/11.
did trades assesment,applied for pr july 17th 2001.
in theory going april 2002.
spent 1st 6 months very very excited (strangly developing an slight ozzie accent,might be related to that stigmata thing)
spent the following 6 months totally peeeeeed off,
i just want to know when the next time i'll b hearing from oz house london

Have you sent in your medicals? We are going to Melbourne too. My husband is in the printing trade. We have 5 kids! 20,18 (not realy kids!) 14,11,9. We are hoping to go in August. I'm sure you won't be much longer, London seem to be clearing the back- log quite quickly.

i havent been asked for med,i 've still got a long way to go,i think they will ask for meds perhaps jan or feb 2002

Strange & bizarre stuff!!! I also applied as an indie Plumber, and on 19th
July 2001!!
Seems that we have almost identical timelines as far as the looooonnnngggg wait is
concerned.
How about we let each other know if the other hears anything?
I'm applying for my police check this week, so that I only need to worry about the
medical when the long awaited letter arrives. I reckon we'll hear something from
DIMIA in the next 2 or 3 months. Fingers crossed.........

From the time of sending the last medical (had to have two) to actually receiving the visa was about 8 weeks. They quoted that they would contact me within 3 months of the date of the medical.

Hi rday
Time between submitting medicals and police checks (we were requested, not front loaded) and getting visa notification was 26 calender days. However I do believe that running up to the end of the last visa year, AHC were really pushing to get as much completed as possible. We got ours on June 5th.

Hope I don't depress you all but we submitted our medicals 12 weeks ago, and have not heard a thing!!!

We finally got up enough courage to phone AHC last week, and got a very helpful gentleman on the telephone who said that we could expect to hear something in the next 8 weeks
So fingers crossed I get to write that elusive e mail to you all soon!!
