Euro - AUS$
We're now in Oz and will soon need to transfer our euros over into dollars. We haven't been able to do until now (waiting for house sale etc) and have seen the value of the euro fall from 1.90 down to 1.71 today. Does anyone have any thoughts as to whether the dollar will continue to strengthen in the short term or should we bite the bullet and transfer now?
We know this is a 'how long is a piece of string' question but if anyone has any insight it would be much appreciated.

Take a look at the 3rd chart which shows a 10yr history:

Your figure of 1.90 does seem to be a bit of an outlier, when you consider the past 10yrs.
But who knows what will happen in the future ! Not me, that's for sure.

Additionally, as the other post stated, when you look at the daily trend over the last 10 years, the 1.90 mark was definately the exception, not the rule.
Be happy with 1.70 I reckon and change now before it drops any further for you
